How challenges work in Teamfight Tactics

Each challenge is a personal target built from your own recent ranked games, like a top 4 finish or a trait to play. You queue for ranked as usual, and your result comes from your Riot match history.

Before you play

Link your Riot account

Zenko reads your results from the Riot account you link, so link the one you play ranked on. There is no privacy setting to turn on in the game, and a Riot account you already linked for another game can be reused.

  1. Open Teamfight Tactics from the game list on Zenko
  2. Pick your region and enter your Riot ID, name#tag
  3. Check the account is yours, then choose Agree & Link Account

Your first challenges appear once 5 ranked games on the current set are counted. Normal, Hyper Roll and Double Up are not counted.

How it works

  1. Pick a challenge

Choose a target built from your recent ranked games. Play it as free practice, with no credits involved, or enter with credits where paid entries are open.

  2. Play ranked

Queue for ranked after you start. Some challenges ask for more than one game, or for a trait or comp on your final board.

  3. We follow your game

Zenko sees when you are in a game, then reads your placement and final board from Riot once it ends.

  4. See your result

Meet the target and credits are added to your balance. Miss it and the challenge ends as a loss.

  5. If time runs out

Over several games, the games you played decide it, and falling short is a loss. On an Off-Meta challenge, if you haven't lost a game, any entry is returned.

Where your result comes from

Your result comes from your own Teamfight Tactics match history, read through Riot's official API. Zenko only reads it: we never change anything on your Riot account or play for you, and you never report a score or send a screenshot.

  1. Your ranked game

Played as normal, on your own account.

  2. Your Riot match history

Riot records your placement and final board.

  3. Your result

Zenko reads the match and checks it against your target.

What counts

Counts

  • Ranked games you start after you begin the challenge
  • Games on the Riot account you linked to Zenko
  • A top 4 finish, whenever your challenge asks for a win
  • Every finish, short games and early exits included, since TFT has no remakes
  • A game where you go AFK: you are eliminated as usual and your placement stands
  • A game without the trait or comp your challenge asks for, which counts as a lost try

Doesn't count

  • Normal, Hyper Roll, Double Up and limited-time modes
  • A game you were already in when you started the challenge
  • Games that start after the challenge ends

When results appear

Your result appears shortly after Riot records the match. If no game decides a one-game challenge before it ends, it is cancelled and any entry is returned, unless a game was a lost try (one without the trait it asks for, or outside the top 4 when it asks for a win): then it ends as a loss.
